Major new Alliance formed to fight for better air quality on World Asthma Day Pic shows from left Noah Connolly Doyle , Rebecca Prior 2 and Lewis Dardis age 10 An alliance of medical and environmental experts has joined forces on World Asthma Day to call for a sustained commitment to cleaner air in Ireland. The launch of the alliance comes in the aftermath of Sunday’s announcement by Phil Hogan T.D., Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government (5th May, 2013) that he sees a ban on smoky coal being implemented within the next three years.

Vodafone Ireland today opened its new Enterprise Customer Solutions division having invested over €25 million in expanding the company’s capabilities in the fixed telephony market over the past two years. The new Enterprise Customer Solutions division marks the beginning of a new era for Vodafone following the strategic acquisitions of Interfusion Networks and Complete Telecom in Ireland. In addition the acquisition of global telephony leader Cable & Wireless Worldwide will enable Vodafone’s Irish business customers access to an international network footprint.

        COCA-COLA CLEAN COASTS WEEK LAUNCHES WITH CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO TAKE PART IN IRELAND’S BIGGEST EVER BEACH CLEAN: Coca-Cola Clean Coasts Week, running this year from the 10th May to the 17th of May, was launched today with a call for volunteers to take part in what organisers hope will be Ireland’s biggest ever Beach Clean. The week is a national initiative run by An Taisce with the support of Coca-Cola which empowers communities to participate in protecting and celebrating their local coastal environment. Ricky Geraghty, CEO Phantom 105.2 and Emma Richardson, Sales Director Independent Radio Sales were on hand to announce Independent Radio Sales (IRS) agreement to once again represent Phantom 105.2 on their advertising sales platform. The agreement takes immediate effect from the 1st May and the two companies have informed all advertising agencies, brand managers and media buyers of the new arrangements.
