VEGETABLES A SOURCE OF CONFLICT AT IRISH FAMILY MEALTIMES, NEW DAIRYGOLD SURVEY REVEALS
Lorraine Keane was joined by Abbey Dalton and Ellie Purdey (both aged 7) in St. Stephen’s Green to launch a new survey from Dairygold which reveals that over half of Irish parents and three quarters of Dublin parents claim to have difficulty getting their children to eat vegetables, while 58% of Irish parents admit they shy away from serving vegetables to avoid conflict at meal times.
The Dairygold survey also reveals that 10% of Irish families only eat vegetables once a week or less, while 30% of Irish adults rarely or never eat vegetables. The survey was carried out by Dairygold to mark the launch of its Butter It With Dairygold campaign.
