Major new Alliance formed to fight for better air quality on World Asthma Day

An alliance of medical and environmental experts has joined forces on World Asthma Day to call for a sustained commitment to cleaner air in Ireland. The launch of the alliance comes in the aftermath of Sunday’s announcement by Phil Hogan T.D., Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government (5th May, 2013) that he sees a ban on smoky coal being implemented within the next three years.
