International Fashion Gathering in Limerick in October and the unveiling of An Post’s new postage stamp celebrating The Gathering Ireland 2013 at the GPO

The colourful 82c stamp was designed by Irish graphic artists Design Factory, and builds on elements of The Gathering’s official logo to form a map of Ireland, representing the huge range and sheer number of events planned around the country this year. It’s available online at irishstamps.ie, at the GPO Stamp Shop in the GPO and at main post offices. 82c covers worldwide airmail postage for a standard letter up to 50g.The Gathering Ireland 2013 stamp was designed specifically for use on invitations to family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances to come to Ireland this year for celebrations which are expected to attract around 325,000 extra overseas visitors. Gatherings are being organised on a national scale, and by families, individuals and communities across the country.
One very fashionable ‘Gathering’ was on hand to help launch the stamp. Celia Holman-Lee and friends posted off Gathering-stamped invitations to her own major international fashion Gathering which will take place in Limerick City this October. Ms Holman Lee is inviting students from across the UK, the US, Europe and Ireland to compete for the IPB International Young Student Designer of The Year Award 2013.
Alumni Fashion graduates from the city, now scattered throughout the world, are also invited back to Limerick to attend this very special Gathering
