TDs and Senators’ kids to participate in first CoderDojo in Leinster House to celebrate 1st birthday . Our pics show Minster of State at the Department of Education & Skills, Ciarán Cannon, with James Whelton Co founder of CoderDojo and kids Colm Millea age 13, Holly Kretschner age 9 and Eoghan Carey age 13 with Dragons Den Nora Casey , Bobby Kerr and Sean O ‘ Sullivan hosted the first ever CoderDojo, to teach computer coding to children between the ages of seven and seventeen, in Leinster House. The event coincides with the establishment of the first ever CoderDojo which took place one year ago in Cork. The initiative has been adopted worldwide with more than 100 Dojos now being held weekly in cities across the globe.
