I was privileged to work during a period when it was only necessary to compete against half of the population. Warren Buffet.

Sandberg 2013

As Sheryl Sandberg quotes Warren Buffet in her newly released book Lean In, the issue at hand is one that is widespread and globally local to every one of us. Gender Inequality still permeates our Global Business Society, where according to findings from Sheryl’s book, “only twenty-one of the Fortune 500 CEOs are women. As well as, women hold about fourteen percent of executive officer positions, seventeen percent of board seats, and constitute eighteen percent of our elected congressional officials.” These results show that when it comes to making the decisions, that most affect our world, women’s voices are not equally heard.

However, we do see continuous improvements being made in regards to this issue, where in Ireland more and more females attain positions within Government space, as well as numbers of female Business Leaders continue to rise.

With this in mind, we feel honored to have been able to have taken part in Women’s Executive Network (WXN) Leadership Summit and Awards Gala 2014 and photographed some of the most powerful and inspirational Irish Women at this present day.
